The International Symposium on China's Child Friendly Communities Guide and the Changsha Children Friendly Cities (Community) Academic Exchange Meeting Held Successfully

On June 27, the International Symposium on Children's Friendly Communities in China and the Changsha Children's Friendly Cities (Community) Academic Exchange Meeting were successfully held at the Duzheng Street Theater in Changsha, Hunan Province. This event was guided by the Child-Friendly Community Working Committee of the China Community Development Association, hosted by the School of Architecture of Hunan University, Changsha City Planning Bureau, Dingwangtai Street, Furong District, and co-organized by the Changsha Youth League Committee and Changsha Shared Family Community Development Center.
Luo Yizhi, representative of the China Community Development Association's Child-Friendly Community Working Committee, introduced the guidelines for building child-friendly communities in China, including 15 guidelines and 46 rules in three dimensions: policy-friendly, space-friendly, and service-friendly. He also called on child-friendly communities and Urban construction should be more three-dimensional and sustainable.
The speakers at this event are domestic and foreign scholars, professionals and practical experts who have made great achievements in the construction of child-friendly cities and communities, such as Professor Kiyoshi Kimura, General Counselor for Children-Friendly Cities in Japan, UNICEF, and Planning Planning of Changsha City Planning Bureau. Director Ding Lingyun, head of the Child-Friendly Cities Research Office of Hunan University School of Architecture, Associate Professor Shen Yao of Hunan University Urban and Rural Planning Department, Professor Wei Chunyu, Dean of Hunan University School of Architecture, and Secretary of the Changsha Youth League Committee Li Ming.
The seminar also showed the results of Hunan University and Hong Kong University students 'participation in the space design and social participation workshop of the child-friendly community, and invited residents' representatives to experience and comment on the scene. The collision removed many inspirational sparks. The Child-Friendly Community Working Committee of China Community Development Association will continue to support and participate in the efforts and exploration of child-friendly communities from all walks of life. At present, the guidelines for the construction of child-friendly communities in China are at the stage of expert discussions, and it is expected that they will be officially released to the public in the second half of this year.
