December 21, 2017

On June 1st, Mr. Zhou Weiyan, Chairman of Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, Director of the Child Friendly Community Working Committee of China Community Development Association, and Shenzhen One Foundation Sponsor, was invited to participate in the “Nutritional Poverty Alleviation • Healthy Future- The 5th Anniversary of the Rural Compulsory Education Student Nutrition Improvement Program “Seminar,” and shared their thoughts and thoughts on children, nutrition, and the future at the “Action Gathering: Helping Students Improve Nutrition” theme forum.

In his speech, Mr. Zhou Weiyan talked about his reason and original intention to be the Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation (Yongzhen for short), and the difference between Yongzhen as a non-public fundraising foundation and its strategic choice and operation method. First of all, Yongzheng explicitly made children's core and experimented with social innovation. In addition, Yongzheng insisted on sustainable development and explored the traditional way of relying on government procurement and external donations to solve social problems in a more efficient way. Teacher Zhou emphasized that as a non-public fundraising foundation, he needs to be willing to try risk-taking projects, especially forward-looking and sustainable development projects.

Today happens to be June 1 International Children's Day. As the main initiative and initiative of China ’s Child Friendly Community Promotion Program, Teacher Zhou raised three points in her speech about her thoughts on the cause of Chinese children.

First, "jump off children and help children"-that is, China's child-friendly community promotion plan is a plan based on a deep understanding of national conditions. It is a government-led structure system that encourages multiple participation. It is under the guidance of the Women and Children's Work Committee of the State Council, and is jointly sponsored by the China Community Development Association of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the China Children and Teenagers' Fund of the Women's Federation. It is also supported by the China Children's Center and the China Urban Planning Institute.

Second, every Chinese child should enjoy his due rights. As one of the parties to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, China should implement the Convention effectively, so that every Chinese child can enjoy its due rights, so that every Chinese child can receive the support of inclusive, so that every Chinese child Can have happiness. "Whether it is poor or rich, disabled or healthy, whether rural or urban, every child in China should enjoy its due rights," said Teacher Zhou.

Third, in the next 10-20 years, the promotion of inclusive service programs for children and their families and the continuous training of service providers are the constant work of China's child-friendly community promotion plan. I hope more partners from all walks of life can promote this cause together.

At the site of this seminar, many guests came to exchange their experiences and experiences with Mr. Zhou, and he was moved by Mr. Zhou's lifelong pursuit and mission of promoting the inclusive project around children and family.
