On the afternoon of December 9, 2017, Zhou Weiyan, director of the Office of China ’s Child Friendly Community Promotion Program and chairman of the Yongzhen Charity Foundation, was invited to attend the “Art Care Growth” sponsored by the Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF) and the Pediatrics of Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Director Zhou Weiyan shared the theme of "Art Charity and Child-friendly Environment Creation" at the summary meeting of the children's medical treatment environment improvement project.
At the event, Director Zhou Weiyan introduced the concept of China ’s child-friendly community in detail, and combined with the success stories of “growth of arts care”, he advocated to the participants that society should increase investment in children ’s public policies and services.
Director Zhou said: "Children are a core subject that society needs to focus on, but public policies and services around children in China are far from enough. Therefore, we should unite more institutions and individuals with non-profit as their sole purpose to form a joint force, and use the government to initiate a wave of innovation in community governance, and incorporate children's public policies.
Among them, non-public fundraising public welfare foundations must have more responsibilities and obligations to bear more risks, share exploration experience with the government and society, and may even share with business and related academic departments to promote assistance. . It is a very good case for the Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation to cooperate with the Union Hospital with industry benchmarks to promote the project nationwide and make some efforts for the rights and interests of Chinese children. It is suggested that the project itself should achieve gradually standardization and productization through more pilots. "
Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, one of the initiative sponsors of the China Child Friendly Community Promotion Plan, is also vigorously promoting the development of advanced concepts and demonstrations of Chinese child friendly communities across the country, and is committed to promoting a cross-border practical Chinese child Friendly community platform. At the same time, Director Zhou, the director of Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, expressed the hope that more successful cases such as "growth of arts care" can be promoted to more regions through the platform of China's child-friendly community, so that more families and children Can enjoy such a good service. The organizers of the event stated that they will continue to promote child-friendly environmental transformation programs to bring greater social value.
