Yongzheng signs strategic cooperation memorandum with China Development Research Foundation to promote fairness in children's education

On February 1, 2018, Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation and China Development Research Foundation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Child Development at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to work together to promote fairness in education for children in poor areas and introduce high-quality education resources to improve the quality of education in poor areas. Ms. Zhou Weiyan, Chairman of Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, and Mr. Lu Mai, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China Development Research Foundation, attended the signing ceremony. The two sides agreed to cooperate on issues and projects related to education, health, living environment and other issues related to the development of Chinese youth and children. 2018 will focus on areas such as education equity for young people and children, education for poverty alleviation, and education innovation.
China Development Research Foundation is a national, publicly-funded foundation established and led by the Development Research Center of the State Council. The foundation's purpose is to support policy research, promote scientific decision-making, and serve China's development. In 2007, the child development project was launched, and child development trials were conducted in 20 counties (cities) in 10 provinces (regions) in the central and western regions. The content of the trials included preschool feeding, infant nutrition improvement, preschool education, early parenting, school nutrition meal , Secondary vocational education, and other fields, covering all stages from pregnancy to employment, to track and observe the growth of these children throughout the process. The foundation's experiments have directly benefited the children in the experimental areas; more importantly, many policy recommendations on nutritional meals, nutrition packs, and mountain village kindergartens in rural schools during the compulsory education stage have been highly valued by the central government and relevant departments. Some have become national policies.
