2018 Qianmiao Plan Research Camp Opens at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

On August 8, the opening ceremony of the 2018 Qianmiao Project Research Camp, jointly sponsored by the China Children and Teenagers Fund and Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, was held at the Yanqi Lake Campus of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. 150 outstanding primary and secondary school students, teachers and university student volunteers from 20 state-level poverty counties in 12 provinces and autonomous regions, including Xinjiang, Qinghai, Yunnan, Gansu, and Guizhou, participated. Zhou Weiyan, the co-sponsor of Qianmiao Project, the founding director of One Foundation, and the chairman of Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
According to Zhou Weiyan, in the next 11 days of study camp exchanges, campers will focus on Chinese heart and learning skills courses developed by top experts, covering pedagogy, sociology, psychology, brain science, and learning ability , Imagination, memory, concentration, leadership, thinking training, traditional culture, etc., and also includes courses in physical sciences, artificial intelligence, and architectural arts taught by experts from the National Thousand Talents Program. In addition, campers will visit Tsinghua University's Lifelong Learning Lab, China Science and Technology Museum and other scientific popularization units to meet face-to-face with scientists, learn about cutting-edge research and the latest scientific and technological achievements, broaden their horizons, and cultivate the scientific spirit.
The Qianmiao plan was launched at Peking University on May 20 this year, and the registration deadline was June 23. In just one month, there were 1,226 recommended by 313 primary and secondary schools in 107 national poverty-stricken counties in 21 provinces and autonomous regions. Outstanding students sign up. After online evaluation, expert review and comprehensive consideration, a total of nearly 100 primary and secondary school students with excellent academic performance were selected into the 2018 Qianmiao Program Research Camp. During the study camp, in addition to organizing campers to study the courses of Chinese heart and learning ability, the organizers will also share scientific learning methods and advanced education concepts for the leading teachers.
It is reported that the Qianmiao Plan was jointly initiated by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund and Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation, and a charitable person, Mr. Zeng Yong, donated 10 million yuan to establish an innovative educational public welfare project.
